If y'all hadn't figured it out already, there is absolutely no reason not to be out on your bike these days. The weather is amazing (by contrast - it snowed in San Francisco and Burbank yesterday...) and most of the remnants of Snowpocolypse are gone. As such, I took my trusty red rider out for an adventure today. In the course of the afternoon, she was officially named - Delilah. Love it. Read about our trek through town after the jump... and if you have your own adventure to share, send me pictures and a write-up!
First stop, of course, was my pal The King of Pops. Needed a little blood sugar to get going. The Blood Orange popsicle hit the spot.
Next, a up Highland Ave to Virginia Ave, and into Piedmont Park. Stopped to say hi to some friends and propped Little D on the wall.
Found another set of friends over by the 12th Street entrance (including the always fantastic Angel P.) and gave in to laying my ride on the grass. She's a big girl, she can handle it.
Soon enough, she was joined by some new friends!
And then she as "borrowed" by my new friend Limbo, who had also "borrowed" a Tina Turner/Lion King wig.
Strength of a lion, with Tina's good looks :-)
After a long afternoon of lounging and laughing, Delilah got restless and made me head home. However, I was a little too tired for the full trek, so we headed to Midtown MARTA station and took ourselves back to the house.
Home sweet home. Delilah put to bed for the night. What a day.
[Side note- my day actually started bright and early to watch the implosion of a building on North Ave. Check out my iReport video!
